Chewing the Cud + Elizabeth Messina

Any day that chewing the cud cozies up with Elizabeth Messina is a really good day in my book. These two ladies are what I consider to be THE most talented artists in our industry…with Viola designing the most beautiful wedding invitations and paper goods, and Elizabeth photographing in the most romantic, ethereal, gorgeous way possible.

Team Robespierre – Everything’s Perfect (For fans of Atom and His Package, Matt and Kim, Intro5pect)

Ever since the demise of Atom and His Package, there has been quite the rising of quirky as dancy synth driven music in punk. Sure, I guess you can argue it started with New Wave, but those were the 80s, and everyone was smoking crack then anyway.Just ask Nancy.Team Robespierre is the punk rock answer to Matt and Kim: catchy electronic dance music with a bit of a punk rock bite

Healthy Pancakes – Is that really possible?

Chocolate cake, muffins and two birthdays in one week, here at the TreatHer office we’ve been slightly over-indulging during the Valentine’s Day rush. (We did manage to nibble on a few carrots on Friday, if that’s any consolation.) Ok so it has nothing to do with gifts but it’s a new week and a new healthy start for us – she says munching on a banana. So we were wondering if it’s possible to resist temptation on Pancake Day

On Friday night, I took the 1 and a half hour drive out to punk rock bowling alley Asbury Lanes in my home state of New Jersey to catch one of my favorite sing a long bands, Off With Their Heads.Cloak/DaggerI arrived in the middle of these guys set, but the very little that I did see made me interested in checking out more by these Richmond hardcore dudes.

Lindsey and Jonathan (Wedding)

What a whirlwind of a weekend weather wise… Not only did it snow down here (Yes, snow in Savannah!!) but the following day, the sun and gorgeous blue skies graced us for Lindsey and Jonathan’s wedding day. Just perfect weather after a day filled with rain and snow! You might remember Lindsey and Jonathan from their romantic beach engagement session … They first met about 6 years ago on their first class of college.  They were both architecture majors at Georgia Tech.  Lindsey and Jonathan became instant friends and were even teamed up to do their very first project together.  Which Lindsey told me, they flirted the whole time throughout the project.  Though they were great friends throughout college, Jonathan had to wait for Lindsey, as she was already in a relationship.  It took a couple years but Lindsey finally came to her senses, and finally started dating Jonathan.  The two of them continued their education and both received their master’s degrees together from Georgia Tech

Getting Your Wedding Guests There: Transportation!

Wedding Car photo from The Wedding Lens! Depending on the type of wedding you’re having, and where, you may require your guests to do a bit of traveling. In most cases there are 3 times that transportation is necessary for your wedding guests : from hotel to wedding ceremony site from wedding ceremony site to wedding reception site (if in different locations) from wedding reception site to hotel While some of your guests may be locals and/or may have cars or rent cars, not everyone will do that — or be able to do that. Remember, going to a wedding is expensive! Sometimes people try to save money in whatever ways that they can.

The Day Of Debauchery/Hit Me With It

As my city of origin is ravaged by tourists in search of an Olympic fever, and my fellow bloggers show them around. My brother and I sit calmly on the other side of the world. Me maintaining my studies and a consistent rate of truth spitting postage, him travelling from city to city living the life, following the beat and charming the women of many a continent.

Ruder Than You – Creation Sounds (For fans of The Slackers, The Pietasters, The Toasters)

I hate to admit it, but these days, it’s getting really hard to find good ska. Over are the third wave ska hey days of the 90s, and ska bands seem to be dropping left and right or releasing sub-par albums (*cough* Fluent In Stroll *cough*) , and I’ve got to admit, it makes me gravitate away and not really want to check out any ska releases anymore.

Crucial Unit – These Colors Get The Runs (For fans of Municipal Waste, DRI, Bones Brigade)

When I went to see Hub City Stompers about 2 and a half weeks ago, they referenced a Crucial Unit song and the only thing running through my mind was “holy shit, I haven’t listened to those dudes in a while”. On the drive home, I popped in Crucial Unit’s “These Colors Get The Runs”, and had a complete thrash-fest for my entire ride from NJ to Killadelphia.Crucial Unit plays unconventional, tongue

Feb 4, 10 Tips For Decorating Your Wedding Venue

If you are like a lot people and you want to try your hand at decorating your own wedding venue, then it can be difficult to know all of the ins and outs. From table linen to the stage, there can be a lot to think about if you haven’t done it before. A reassuring thing is that you are doing it for yourself (and your partner obviously) but this means that you don’t have to worry about conforming to other people’s tastes.

Wedding Question: When to Send Thanks?

A Sample Save the Date from Wedding Paper Divas!  I am getting married later this year, but we’re already getting some of the gifts we registered for! Should we send thank you notes now, or wait until after the wedding? Good question! First of all, thank YOU for writing thank you notes ! The “rule” is that you should send a thank you note as soon as you receive a gift . That way, there’s not a lot of time that passes between the gift giving and the thanks — which is very much appreciated by the gift givers! Plus, this will make it so much easier on you.
