Brides have many more choices nowadays than they did when I started Hair Comes the Bride in 1996. Back then, brides were typically asked “Is someone doing your hair and makeup?” Where now the question is “Who is doing your hair and makeup?” I talk a lot about the bride being the most important part of the wedding day and I think over the past ten years or so, brides are finally getting it. Although I still meet brides who are willing to pay $200.00 on a pair of shoes and bargain shop for their stylist.
