Tom and Rhonda’s wedding at Sammy’s Manakiki and Legacy Village

When Tom and Rhonda told us that they both manage catering and events for Sammy’s , one for the largest catering companies here in the Cleveland area, we weren’t too terribly surprised to hear that they would be making use of both the Manakiki Golf Club location for the ceremony, and the Legacy Village location for the reception. Even if they hadn’t told us, the fact that Rhonda went around hugging the wait staff at Legacy during cocktail hour probably would have tipped us off that something was up.

Connecticut Newborn Photographer, Heartprint Portrait Family Photography, Watertown, Middlebury, Woodbury, Litchfield, Southbury, Avon, Simsbury

Connecticut-Newborn-Photographer,-Family,-Child-Photography   Connecticut-Newborn-Photographer,-Family,-Child-Photography We are so excited to show these adorable newborn portraits, this little guy is absolutly adorable!  He was very interested in everything that was going on around him, he really fought falling asleep!  I just love his little pursed lips and oh-so-cute ‘cupie doll’ curl of hair!  This little guy is a third child, with two very active big sisters, he is one lucky little fella. Parents often ask what the best age is for newborn portraits, and the answer is, the earlier the better!  The newer they are, the more curled up and ‘newborn’ they look, that stage really only lasts for a few sweet weeks.  If you are expecting and don’t want to miss out on capturing that moment in their lives, call early, even while you are still expecting.  We are more than happy to make room in our schedule for your newest family member!

Rustic, Vintage Wedding in Connecticut, II

Loving this sweet, family inspired wedding that Carla Ten Eyck sent us. Carla completely nailed it with the vintage style photography, capturing the intimate and yet totally elegant style of the day. You know, I am a firm believer that although a wedding should be a reflection of the couple…it is also one of the only times in our lives where our families come together to celebrate something so incredibly special

Charleston Wedding From Blue Moon Events

Today’s delightful wedding is from Charleston’s Blue Moon Events .  Alice and Jeff’s wedding celebration was planned around a few key elements … a cool French blue and crisp khaki color palette, natural and preserved boxwood fixtures and greenery, vintage crewelwork graphics and Charleston charm … of course! SO many of our favorite weddings are in Charleston! Alice and Jeff’s spring wedding took place at the William Aiken House . A “Mason Dixon Station” was set up … a signature drink consisting of local Firefly sweet tea vodka blended with lemonade and garnished with a lemon wheel and served in mason jars tied in whip-stitched French blue grosgrain ribbon .  Mmmmmm … such a sweet touch! If you’re going to do a signature drink, this is the way to do it! FILL it with ice and you’re pretty much set for the day. “Take A Wish ~ Make A Wish” stations  were a huge hit! Blue Moon Events incorporated so many special touches throughout the day … photographs courtesy of Tracy Turpen Photography Other wedding vendors contributing to the day include florals by Blossom Events , stationery by Dulles Designs, cake by Elaine’s Events, and catering by Fish Restaurant

The Offbeat Bride: Katie, owner of A Sense of Place Photography /Actess/Poet Her Offbeat Partner: Steve, Sailor/Husband/Poet Location & date of wedding: A lovely meadow on the San Fransisco Peaks, Flagstaff, Arizona — May 24th, 2009 What made our wedding offbeat: I planned the entire wedding all by myself for the most part while we were in a different city than the actual wedding all together! The song we both “walked” to was “Here Comes The Sun,” which was played by our violinist, Linh Renken outside in a lovely meadow! I followed offbeat bride for every step of planning. Our cake was ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins and I bought my shoes for the wedding at Old Navy about 3 hours before the ceremony on Memorial Day Weekend when the mall was closed.

Rebekah & Justin’s Hillbilly Chic Wedding

The Offbeat Bride: Rebekah Borucki, Studio Manager, Justin Borucki Photography (and OBT member ” Rebekah “) Her Offbeat Partner: Justin Borucki , Photographer Location & date of wedding: Woodloch Pines Resort , Pocono Mountains, Hawley, Pennsylvania — January 23, 2009 What made our wedding offbeat: Our wedding could not have been more perfectly “us.” Justin is a Brooklyn boy with country tastes and I'm a Jersey girl and mom of three, and there was not one part of the wedding from the decor to the music that didn't echo those descriptions. We decided from the very beginning that this wedding would be for our guests with an emphasis on fun. For the ceremony and cocktail hour we hired a ridiculously cool bluegrass band from Doylestown, PA called ” The Pluckin' Grassholes ” (my FMIL was NOT pleased that their “offensive” name appeared on the program).

Joe and Katie’s wedding at the Union Club in Downtown Cleveland

This past Friday, Katie’s Dad got to walk Katie down the aisle to meet Joe just six months after he walked Katie’s sister down the aisle to meet her new husband. I’ll bet it’s been quite the year for Katie’s family, and from what we could tell, Katie and Joe’s wedding was the perfect capstone to what I imagine was a pretty interesting season of planning. We started our day at St
