Weight lifting personal injuries and product liability cases

While we continue to work on a case involving a young man being injured using a weight lifting machine , I wanted to talk a little bit about other similar incidents, personal injury claims and product liability cases involving exercise equipment. Every year, there are millions of sports related injuries in the United States. This shouldn’t come as a surprise since participating in sports requires physical exertion and the chance for a genuine accident is high

Judicial Conference Establishes Guidelines On How And When Courts Can Cite Internet Sources In Opinions

Judges, like everyone else, have been affected by the treasure trove of information available on the internet, and have slowly begun basing judicial decisions on internet sources. However, until recently citing internet sources in judicial opinions has been a haphazard affair, with little guidance provided anywhere on how to identify reliable sources, how to present an internet citation or how to cite to the many sources on the web which are subject to being repositioned without the knowledge or

They don’t like me, Toot. Can I have clean sheets?

The people that picked Barry “Barrack” Obama to be their stalking horse must cry themselves to sleep some nights.   He seemed like a good bet.   Tall, thin and he can’t even understand patois let alone drop into it unexpectedly and look like an uncultured n-word.   Whenever those who guide a political party or movement use someone as a primary spokesman who is not capable of becoming the intellectual leader of the party serious problems are unavoidable.  This is because the dim bulb will not get

Scare headline not so scary in article

Boo to Hot Air, which posted this headline: “ Good news: Feds pulling workers away from FAA to staff exploding Cash for Clunkers bureaucracy ” (I found it via Volokh .) The Hot Air post plays up the possibility that thin-on-the-ground air traffic controllers are being taken from towers to process paperwork. The article cited, from the Washington Times , however, makes it clear that this is not the case: But Ms. Zuckman said that only support personnel, such as in finance and operations,

Wedding Day Recap, Pt 11 – “Just Like Heaven”

I have gone through some internal debates on how to handle my last official recap. After thinking long and hard (that’s what she said), I came across an article in the LA Times where the co-writer of the movie 500 Days of Summer states that “every relationship has a soundtrack.” How true! Now, I know that everyone has different taste in music, but I personally love the songs we chose for our wedding reception and I feel that each one of them very well represents the many facets of my relationship with Mr. Peony, as well as our relationship with our families and friends

Boston Globe Blows It On “Abortion” Myth

From yesterday’s Boston Globe by Renee Loth : Just as opponents twisted voluntary end-of-life discussions into government mandates for euthanasia, so too are abortion services the subject of confusion and disinformation. Douglas Johnson of the National Right to Life Committee has called support for health reform “a vote for tax-subsidized abortion on demand.’’ House Republican leader John Boehner has written that the proposals “will require Americans to subsidize abortion with their hard-ear

Florida Governor Charlie Crist half-joked to a group of real estate agents that the state’s lack of hurricane activity is because God is listening to him : “Crist said he isn’t trying to take credit, but he told a group of real estate agents Friday that he’s had prayer notes placed in the Western Wall in Jerusalem each year and no major storms have hit Florida. Health Care Killed the Democracy Star

There is a reason the fake health care debate has been the biggest event in America since we interned Japanese humans. There is a reason Obama’s team chose to “tackle” health care reform instead of prosecutions and tribunals.  Everyone’s in on it, and none of the involved are very interested in hanging themselves.Your mission for today is to ignore the health care scare.  What will happen to it has nothing to do with what you want and everything to do with who profits the most.Instead, fire up yo
