Russell Crowe hands homeless man plush coat

Russell Crowe was full of Christmas cheer during the festive season as he handed a homeless man a plush coat to help keep out the winter chill. The Gladiator star was filming scenes for new movie The Next Three Days in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, earlier this month when he learned a popular down-and-out known as ‘Radio Man’ had travelled to the city to catch a glimpse of the shoot. And Crowe immediately showed his generous side – handing the grateful vagrant a warm coat with a furry hood

Shania Twain – Forever And For Always Lyrics

Forever And For Always is a song by Canadian singer “Shania Twain” from the album Up! , released in the United States radio on April 7, 2003. The song is written by Robert John “Mutt” Lange and Shania Twain. Shania Twain – Forever And For Always Lyrics : In your arms I can still feel the way you want me when you hold me I can still hear the words you whispered when you told me I can stay right here forever in your arms And there ain’t no way I’m lettin’ you go now And there ain’t no way and there ain’t not how I’ll never see that day [Chorus:] ‘Cause I’m keeping you forever and for always We will be together all of our day Wanna wake up every morning to your sweet facealways Mmmm, baby In your heart-I can still hear a beat for every time you kiss me And when we’re apart, I know how much you miss me I can feel your love for me in your heart And there ain’t no way I’m lettin’ you go now And there ain’t now way and there ain’t no how I’ll never see that day [Repeat Chorus] (I wanna wake up every morning) In your eyes (I can still see the look of the one) I can still see the look of the one who really loves me (I can still feel the way that you want) The one who wouldn’t put anything else in the world above me (I can still see love for me) I can still see love for me in your eyes (I still see the love) And there ain’t no way I’m lettin’ you go now And there ain’t no way and there ain’t no how I’ll never see that day [Repeat Chorus (2x)] I’m keeping you forever and for always I’m in your arms.

State Champion – “Stale Champagne” (Sophomore Lounge Records, Jan. 10)

It was my intention to post one of my “best of 2009″ repost series this morning but these guys have pre-empted that with their excellent 2010 album Stale Champagne . State Champion is a band that personifies the mid-western work ethic; musically that translates to blue collar rock and rugged, sloppy garage-country. The band has spent some time in Chicago but are now based out of Louisville, KY.

Ox – Burnout

Vancouver’s indie-rock/alt-country ensemble Ox are back this year, with their 3rd full-length release “Burnout”.  The album, released on November 10th of this year, follows up the band’s 2006 effort “American Lo-Fi”.  Today’s song is the title-track from Burnout, and is a fine example of the dusky Americana-flannel sort of vibe the band is capable of conjuring up.

Digital Concerts — It Takes A “Troika.”

This week the classical music world will take a first step in widening its reach globally, made possible by a troika – the integration of technology, music and sponsorship. To date, the reach of classical music has been limited by concerts halls with a seating capacity averaging 2000-3000 people, by disappearing classical music radio stations in most cities, by a dearth of live concert broadcasts on both radio and TV and by the Internet, which has an abundance of classical music video clips av

Union Hill and the KCPT Tower

Delany Dean posted a photo: This old radio/television tower, built in 1955, is a major Kansas City landmark. For a couple of years, it served as a weather forecaster; the lights along the structure would flash upwards if the temperature was rising, and downward if it was falling. From the KCPT website: “Before its construction, Kansas City’s buildings commissioner said the TV tower would model the Eiffel Tower in Paris
