Teen brothers play piano at Taylor Home on the Southside (The Florida Times-Union)

There was a murmur of anticipation as the two blond Westside teenagers walked into the reception area at Taylor Home on the Southside. “It just makes my heart pound, pound, pound,” said Naomi Montuori, tapping her heart with her hand. “They are wonderful.” Montuori and other appreciative residents sat on comfortable leather chairs and floral sofas awaiting the start of a concert that some have …

Mini-Scrapbook Table Numbers!

Kitten wedding photo by The Nichols Months and months ago when I was in the beginning of the wedding planning process, I came across these table numbers available for download on the Martha Stewart Weddings site. I loved the look of them and always knew I would find a way to incorporate them into our wedding. A few weeks before the big day, I still hadn’t decided how we would mark our tables

Bittersweet Father’s Day (Queens Courier)

Not much is left from Dindial Boodram’s Floral Park home aside from a three-inch stack of photographs, many of them peeling, caked in dirt and crumpled at the edges. The images show Dindial’s wife, Ghanwatti, smiling under a wedding veil and provide a glimpse into carefree times at 80-50 260th Street, which was leveled in late April by a gas explosion that left the three Boodram children …

Matt and Megan’s wedding at the Hyatt Regency Arcade

Friday was an absolutely perfect day in Cleveland with temperatures hovering in the lower seventies, very little humidity, and just enough of a breeze to keep things comfortable in a tux or wedding dress. Despite the limo driver’s best attempts to sabotage the schedule, we were still able to make it to Voinovich park for a few images by the lake as well as Mall C by the fountain. Thankfully, the reception was very close by at the stunningly beautiful Arcade in downtown Cleveland.

Real Bee Budgets: The Penguins’ Winery Wedding in Rural Northern CA

Talking budget was the hardest thing when it came to our wedding. After I came off of the high of getting engaged, I realized that there was a very real possibility that my parents would not contribute in a large way to our wedding. Even the least expensive “traditional” weddings cost entirely more than I think either of my parents would have anticipated.

We are love, love, loving Elizabeth and Johnny’s featured affair today. Real Wedding: Brad + Laura, II

As I mentioned earlier, today we are featuring my brother-in-law’s absolutely fabulous wedding that his ridiculously lovely wife Laura designed and crafted this past April. The wedding was held at the Boon Hall Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina and was a lesson in all things pretty. And for someone that eats, sleeps and breathes weddings…to be a guest at this one, was such a fun experience! The color palette was shockingly gorgeous…a deep navy paired with a bright yellow

Invitation to Paradise

Before getting engaged, (admittedly) I was one of those girls that perused the internet shamefully looking at pictures of weddings galore, thinking of ways to somehow incorporate those beautiful details into our wedding someday. But it was never the wedding gowns, or floral centerpieces that I swooned over… no siree… It was all the beautiful paper products the brides (and grooms) created themselves! If you couldn’t tell already, I’ve delayed making decisions on reception decor, all things floral, ceremony details, etc., and channeled all my energy into the invitations for the past month. Way to go, Piglet! But DIYing invitations was near and dear to my heart, so the Mr let me be

MOH-Ho’s Centerpiece Mini Mockup

I’ve had this centerpiece idea in mind for a while, but I couldn’t get MOH-Ho to picture it right to save my life! Last night we finally got together and did a small version mock-up (the real one will have 5 vases instead of 3). We spent some quality time bringing my vision to life: The purple circles invites I made for MOH-Ho’s wedding was my original inspiration for these. Though they did not turn out to have much resemblance, I think they still fit together quite nicely

Green Grumbles Be Gone!

Yah, you’re seeing “our” green with other floral greens, and it’s OKAY! Where were you, With This Ring , a few days ago, when I was stupidly stressing about greens?! Source: With This Ring Scrolling through her wedding, I see so many similarities to mine – bold green, black and white damask, etc. But I also noticed that there are different shades of green represented throughout the wedding, and not just in the flowers. The flower girl dresses, pashminas for the bridesmaids, etc., are all different shades of green
