Blue

I started walking again for the first time since I hurt my leg (I tore a muscle in my calf and it was sore). The sky is blue completely, no dreary grey or white to be seen anywhere, and the sun – the sun. I can’t describe it without resorting to clichés, so you can just imagine which ones I would have used

“Isn’t She a Vision of Bridal Beauty?”

At this point of crisis , I could have opted out and decided that I would not attach so much symbolism to this dress. I would have continued with the sub-par design, and it would have been pretty enough. But to do so would have been to completely ignore that the dress did have some significance to me; to have ignored the fear that comes with making an irrevocable, once-in-a-lifetime decision; and would have skipped the hard work of finding out what that significance was and I would have passed on finding out what “beautiful” really meant to me

How To Deliver A Funny Best Man Speech That Won’t Cause Offense

The following is a guest post from David Doran , an expert on best man speeches and is the co-founder of BestManApp.com the web app for best men. Enjoy! Everyone expects a best man to be funny, the humor in his speech may be the yardstick with which the success of his speech is measured.  However as best man you need to ensure that the humor does not come at a cost.  If you make jokes about the past love lives of the bride and groom for example, you will not only lose the support of the wedding guests but you will almost certainly lose the friendship of your best friend (or brother), the groom.

Hiring Wedding Planners

Think you can never afford a wedding planner? Think again! Will You Come to my Rehearsal?

When I got married almost two years ago (wow, time flies!), both my photographers and my videographers offered to come to our rehearsal which took place two days before the wedding. I thought that was an excellent idea. They can get a heads up on the different players for the wedding, meeting your key family, relatives and friends in advance so they know who to go to should issues arise during the day of the wedding
